Great Little Camera When I was shopping for a camera, it took me forever to decide on this one, but it was well worth the price. I love that it is set on automode if I need to take a shot really quickly, but I can fine-tune the settings for specific shots. I will definitely get a Nikon again! Overall: Pros: -great battery life -takes some great shots -really easy to use (though my luddite mom was a little confused by all the icons) -good control over basic settings for amateurs like me (broken down in specific terms, not cameraspeak mumbo-jumbo, for example "action", "portrait", "museum", "food") -takes shots and recovers quickly -looks great and fits in a pocket -glare-free display can be seen even in sunlight Cons: -very little control over certain specs (but if you're into that, you shouldn't be in the market for a point and shoot; get a dslr instead) -sometimes takes grainy shots in low light -sometimes won't let me see certain shots on the card while it's in the camera (they show up fine on the computer, though) -traditionalists may be put off by lack of a viewfinder I'm kind of surprised this model didn't stick around longer or get upgraded; it seems like a great camera and I hope to have it for a long time. no camra more fit for a person and their life this is an out of this universe camra. It's small and 'weightless' so that you can carry it everywhere, so that when that picture perfect moment comes, it's always right there. it works quickly, somthing i perosnally love. So that there's no more uptight posing or blurey pictures. If you have a child that can't sit still, this is the camra for you. It's also styleish and adorable so that it's a camra that you can bring anywhere and show it of. I feel that if you have a busy and MOVING life that exsisted otside of your house, then this is the camra for you. July 13, 2010
This Product Deserves 4.5 Stars I've had this camera for about a year and it's my go-to camera for everything. It's so light weight and the perfect fit-in-your-pocket size that it's so easy to take it everywhere with you. It takes great pictures, especially if you have the right lighting. The Nikon program that comes with the camera is simple to use and transfers the pictures quickly into your computer. The only down side to this camera would be that it is a little slow when turning on, but that's about it. I also love the exterior design. Very sleek. December 28, 2010
good pix, a little slow It takes fine pictures, but is a little slow starting up and recovering after taking a picture. The dizzying number of "scene" modes is a little redundant. Auto setting does not compensate for lighting adjustments made in scene mode (for example, if close up mode - which I use at work - is set for fluorescent lighting, and i switch to Auto and shoot pictures outdoors, they are all very blue tinged. A top-quality camera for the price I have had the camera about six months and just returned from a three month trip across Europe, taking 100+ pictures a day. Almost everything is the best about this camera: low-light performance is amazing, resolution very good for its class, lots of features that all work well. Only big drawback is outdoor sunlit landscapes where the camera is unable to deal with high contrast between mixed bright and shady areas. Sunlight becomes purple and shady areas indistinguishable. It's necessary to learn and use the exposure compensation feature to deal with this, and still not great results. Otherwise it's the best! July 23, 2010
