great features but....... ..... my S1000pj is 1 year old and wont focus!!! What do I do or what have I done?? Please help January 26, 2011
Wonderful Easy to Use Camera Easy to learn with wonderful features. Takes HD movies and photo has17 different settings. Everything I hoped for. The projector is a wow factor that people love - just make sure to not use this feature in a brightly lit room. I hope to use this for years to come! January 23, 2011
Nice pocket camera An excellent point and shoot with the unique projector feature. Convenient and never fails to draw a crowd when you show your pictures. I was immediately impressed by the range of distances the projector can cover, from a napkin or dinner plate to a wall or ceiling. Lots of fun. It is the answer to the question, "What is the best camera?" Answer, "The one you have with you when you need it." January 2, 2011
Very Nice Camera The first time Nikon Camera ever and not disappointed. Easy to use and download. November 28, 2010
its very poor projector is very bad. and rate is very high and photo quality is very very poor.. this is bad i ever seen in my life as of now. November 1, 2010

December 30, 2009 | 2009 Popular Science Best of What’s New Award

The prominent Popular Science Best of What’s New Award are standards by which Popular Science judges the year's greatest innovations. The objects don’t need to be beautiful, eco-friendly, or difficult to build. They just have to push past what the editors at Popular Science thought was possible twelve months ago. Popular science wrote, “The micro-projector has found its niche. The Nikon S1000pj is the first camera with one built in, so you can instantly share your shots and videos with the whole room. The same size as an ordinary point-and-shoot, it uses an imaging chip similar to those in tabletop projectors, plus a low-power LED that bounces light off the chip. The resulting images shine through an extra lens on the front cover, splashing 40-inch murals on the wall.”

Answer:
This camera doesn’t have that feature. However the new S1100pj does work as a mini projector via PC, you connect the camera to a computer and project whatever's on the computer's screen.
